José Luis Ramírez Castañeda, attended the International Symposium on Large Dams: Dam Safety, Engineering Design & Construction, held on February 19–20, 2026, in Lima and organized by the Lima Departmental Council of the Peruvian College of Engineers (CIP) and ICOLD, the International Commission on Large Dams.
Dam safety, a key topic for mining
The symposium covered the safety, engineering design and construction of large dams. These topics are directly linked to our work on tailings and water dams: static and dynamic physical stability analysis, dam breach analysis, liquefaction assessment and geotechnical instrumentation.
Taking part in these events keeps us up to date with international standards and best practices, which we apply to our clients' projects.
