Service scope
Instruments
- Hydraulic (Casagrande) and vibrating wire piezometers to measure pore pressure and groundwater levels, define safe fill placement rates, predict slope stability and assess drainage performance.
- In-place inclinometers and portable manual or automated systems for lateral movements and deformations in soils, rock and retaining structures.
- Vibrating wire rod, magnetic and tape extensometers for excavations, piles, dams, waste dumps, tunnels, slopes and buildings.
- Settlement cells and vibrating wire pressure cells for embankments, waste dumps and earth and rockfill dams.
- Accelerographs to measure ground acceleration during seismic events and the structural and geotechnical response.

Seismographs and vibration control
